Job Summary

The country representative is a senior position responsible for officially representing Fugro in the Kingdom of Thailand, managing client relations, driving business growth, promoting the company’s interests, and coordinating with local authorities. In Thailand’s competitive business environment, the country representative acts as a cultural bridge, ensuring both local and relevant stakeholders remain aligned with the company’s mission.

This position is based in our Bangkok office, Thailand.

About the role:

Business Development Role

• Identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Align growth initiatives with the company’s overall strategy and capabilities.
• Foresight into market trends and the competitive landscape.
• Building and sustaining trust with clients and internal regional teams.
• Deep understanding into client needs, preferences, behaviours and industry dynamics.
• Track competitor strategies and positioning.
• Collaborate with the regional business lines on evaluating prospective opportunities.
• Synchronize with the service lines during the tendering exercise.

CRM Role

• Act as the first point of contact for clients.
• Build trust and long-term partnerships.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Compliance with applicable laws, including tax filings, labour laws, and corporate governance requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of corporate tax returns (PND 50, PND 51), VAT filings (PP30), remittance tax filing (OND 54) and withholding tax obligations.
• Coordinate with the regional financial group to maintain accurate financial records, conduct annual statutory audits, and file annual reports with the relevant authorities.
• Assist the APAC operations department with regulations regarding procedures involving permitting, vessel clearances, importation of goods, and other related matters.
• Serve as the focal point for HSSE matters in the country.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
• Minimum 5 year’s proven technical sales / business development expertise within the Subsea and/or Offshore Wind industry
• Excellent listening and presentation skills
• Solid analytical abilities
• Team player
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
