Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
The GRM counterparty and credit risk group provides independent and effective monitoring, control, and communications on the nature and extent of all material credit risk and ensures the implementation and compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
The Analyst will join the GRM team responsible for overseeing the Securities Finance Transaction (SFT) and the Structured Asset Collateral (SAC) portfolio in New York with primary responsibilities and other key aspects of the job defined in the following sections.
What will you do?
The US GRM Rotational Program is unique in that you will get to rotate among several US Group Risk Management functions, working across multiple programs and disciplines that require very divergent skills. We’re looking for candidates that have a strong quantitative skillset, communicate well and are able to work through complex and ambiguous challenges. You need to be a self-driven and hyper engaged individual with unique skill sets that’s willing to learn finance and risk management from world class teams in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Risk Oversight and Analytics
- Help provide risk oversight for the Counterparty Credit Risk for Securities Finance Transaction (SFT) and the Structured Asset Collateral (SAC) portfolio at the consolidated and individual entity levels
- Aid in the management of the CCR reporting process and ensure the accuracy of key risk measurements
- Developpe and improvement risk infrastructure
- Analyze key collateral and products to ensure alignment with RBC risk tolerance
- Review significant transactions to support business growth and maintain robust risk controls
- Collaborate with trading teams to ensure alignment on key risk issues: systems, limits, risk management
- Ensure that all credit risk and collateral exposures for the Security Finance Businesses are correctly calculated, tracked against limits, reported, and escalated in a timely manner
Risk Measurement
- Play a lead role in enhancing risk systems: CREX and other internal systems.
- Investigate risks to provide value-added insight and analysis to senior management on risk trends and concerns.
Analytics
- Examine trends in large datasets using advanced statistical and econometric techniques to draw conclusions related to collateral and limits.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance or science or economics, or a related quantitative field
Strong coding skills, interest in securitized products and fixed income products, quantitative skill set, curious mindset, self-motivated, and communication skills.
Must have a deep understanding of VaR/Stress methodology calculation.

The good faith expected salary range for the above position is $95,000-$100,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
