About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Manager to oversee and coordinate direct tax activities in the scope of the Shared Service Center across the EMEA region. This role requires a strong technical tax background combined with a solid understanding of accounting principles and international business operations.
The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for corporate income tax matters, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, supporting finance teams and business stakeholders, and driving tax-related process improvements. The role involves extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and requires the ability to work independently in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee corporate income tax compliance activities
- Coordinate the preparation and review of CIT returns, tax provisions, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings in collaboration with local finance teams and external advisors.
- Review and monitor tax accounting entries and tax balances.
- Support periodic tax reporting requirements under local GAAP and IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and governance requirements.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Develop practical recommendations to address regulatory changes and business needs.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate direct tax risks across the organization.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and coordinate responses to tax audits and inquiries.
- Oversee tax controversy and dispute resolution activities with support from external advisors where required.
- Maintain adequate documentation supporting tax positions and compliance activities.
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within tax processes.
- Participate in finance transformation and system implementation projects to ensure tax requirements are appropriately addressed.
- Improve tax reporting processes, controls, and data quality.
- Implement of the tax control framework and share best practices across EMEA.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate income tax matters.
- Provide expert advice on corporate income tax matters to Finance and business stakeholders.
- Assess tax implications of new business initiatives, reorganizations, acquisitions, and operational changes.
- Support decision-making through proactive identification of tax risks and opportunities.
- Support the Global Tax Manager on Regional and Global direct tax matters on an ad-hoc basis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate income tax, tax compliance, or tax advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of corporate income tax regulations and tax accounting principles.
- Experience working in multinational organizations, Shared Services Centers, or consulting firms.
- Good understanding of IFRS and statutory accounting requirements.
- Experience managing tax audits and working with tax authorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Professional qualification in Tax, Accounting, or Finance.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and international tax frameworks.
- Experience with SAP, LN Infor, or other ERP systems.
- Project management or process improvement certification.
