Job Description:

The Engineering Development Program (EDP) at UPS is a structured, four-month training program designed for highly qualified Industrial Engineers. The program offers an immersive, hands-on experience with classroom learning and real-world applications in the heart of UPS Operations. In addition, participants will benefit from self-paced computer-based training and structured mentorship, offering a robust professional network. This position leads the planning and execution of large project implementations and training initiatives.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be eligible to transition into an Industrial Engineering (IE) Supervisor role, where they will apply their training to lead teams, drive process improvements, and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

•    Leads and supports project and program management.

•    Leads and supports process improvements.

•    Performs work measurement using Master Standard Data (MSD).

•    Conducts Operations Research.

•    Participates in integrated business planning.

•    Supports new technology integration and implementation.

•    Administers training and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following preferred majors:
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Process Engineering
  • Engineering & Technology Management
  • Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering
  • Automation Engineering
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Operations Management/Research
  • Logistics
• Must have a valid Driver’s License by start date of employment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,712.00/year to $145,068.00/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
