This role independently manages a pipeline of newly booked and modified loans, reviewing transactions to ensure information is accurately reflected in the appropriate system of record, loan documentation aligns with approved credit terms, and required documentation is complete.

The individual will balance time-sensitive reviews with ongoing follow-up and remediation of previously identified issues. The role works closely with relationship managers, underwriters, loan administrators, and risk partners to research and resolve findings, provide guidance, and support accurate and consistent processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review newly booked and modified CRE loans for accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate that loan documentation aligns with credit approvals and required executed documents are in place.
  • Identify data-quality, documentation, and credit-related discrepancies and follow findings through appropriate remediation.
  • Maintain documentation demonstrating that identified issues have been corrected.
  • Partner with relationship managers, underwriters, loan administrators, and risk partners to research and resolve findings.
  • Provide guidance and on-the-spot support to business partners regarding processes, findings, and system navigation.
  • Support regulatory, due-diligence, reporting, and other risk-related review activities.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and collaborative resource to business partners while building strong working relationships across CRE.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of applicable experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in commercial lending, loan administration, risk, audit, QA/QC, reconciliation, or a related financial services environment.
  • Understanding of business operations, lending products and services, applicable risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Commercial Real Estate experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage competing priorities, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and provide guidance to business partners.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify issues and support appropriate resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with nCino preferred and familiarity with Hogan, AFS, Liq, or similar lending systems beneficial.
