ROLE: Outside Sales Team Member

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Estimator works with the entire IT Landes Home Service Team and Total Energy Service to maintain 5-star experience for co-workers and customers through the sales process.  An Estimator is a dynamic professional responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships through direct, in-person interactions. Estimators are responsible for identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth through sales solutions. Estimators will spend significant time traveling and working in the field to meet with potential and current customers, understanding their needs, presenting solutions to address customer comfort needs, and building long-term business relationships. This person must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, as well as product knowledge and sales strategies to close deals, develop new accounts, and ensure repeat business from customers. An Estimator is a trusted advisor in this capacity utilizing their expertise alongside their team's capabilities to produce sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and ultimately grow business opportunities. The goal of every employee-owner on this team is to provide a seamless pre- and post-sale experience for all IT Landes Home Services customers while practicing and promoting our mission statement and core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver a 5-star customer experience by traveling to new and existing customer locations to offer dynamic HVAC solutions and generate new sales opportunities.
• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Conduct outreach based on assigned leads, and engage potential customers through calls, emails, and in-person visits to present customer-tailored solutions.
• Possess adequate knowledge and continue to learn about additional services offered by IT Landes Home Service Team to assist clients in product and application solutions for HVAC, and other offered Home Services.
• Present HVAC options and necessary information to customers and clearly articulate their value to assist customers in meeting their needs, close customer sales, and building long-term customer relationships.
• Promptly identify equipment and parts needed to ensure seamless HVAC equipment replacement processes
• Communicate with external customers on the pricing and scope of HVAC work quoted.
• Respond in a timely manner to all internal and external customer inquiries.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of customer quotes and input required information into the software system to properly process estimates and ensure up-to-date and accessible information.
• Assist with sales training of technicians.
• Close 45% of all estimated work and strive to reach set sales goals.
• Stay informed on industry trends, product updates, and competitor activities to effectively position IT Landes Home Service Team and Total Energy Service in the market and maintain a competitive edge.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D. or appropriate work experience
• 2+ years industry experience in residential HVAC - preferred
• Ability to read, understand and work with drawings and specifications
• Ability to climb ladders, attic stairs, enter crawl spaces to obtain needed measurements for HVAC equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient in computer, tablet, and smart phone skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Possess valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned territory to meet with customers and potential customers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position requires substantial travel to potential and existing customer sites. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
