Position Overview:
The Collections Specialist II is responsible for monitoring outstanding premium receivable balances. This role will communicate with brokers and underwriters to ensure premium is paid timely. The Collections Specialist II will report on their outstanding receivables and follow company procedures in pursuing past due balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and pursue outstanding accounts receivable
- Document unapplied cash transactions
- Analyze broker / insured accounts
- Issue Notice of Cancellation and Notice of Rescission
- Respond to various requests from brokers, underwriters and management
- Issue various receivable reports
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies
- Perform special projects as required
- Provide back-up support as needed
- Participate in Receivable related meetings
- Participate and support any system testing and or process enhancements
Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with Workday is preferred
- Team Player
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be proactive in resolving problems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
