CNC Steel Fabrication Operator – Cocoa Beach, FL
Location: Cocoa Beach, FL
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Pay: Up to $27/hour, based on experience
2nd Shift Differential: +$3/hour
Position Overview
Seeking a CNC operator with experience in steel fabrication and industrial production. This role involves processing structural steel with CNC cutting, drilling, sawing, and beamline equipment, along with material handling and overhead crane operation.
The position requires frequent standing and handling steel materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Kinetic Plasma Table
- Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line
- Peddinghaus Angle Master
- Ficep Beamline
- Select appropriate machine settings based on material type, dimensions, and production requirements.
- Confirm steel type, stock size, quantities, and measurements before processing.
- Measure materials to verify dimensions meet production specifications.
- Mark or apply required part identification and production information.
- Maintain daily production and material usage records.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Recognize equipment issues and assist with basic troubleshooting.
- Operate overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems safely.
- Maintain an orderly work area and follow all applicable safety procedures.
