The Consultant, Field Technology III provides field technical support to customers by serving as the primary technical interface for TD SYNNEX products, solutions, and services. Performs a variety of product, and technical support functions which include research and resolution of pre-sales technical and process related issues. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned.
 

Responsibilities:

• Provides pre-sales resolution of all technical and process related issues, using appropriate escalation points when necessary.
• Consults with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problems, evaluate operational and performance requirements.
• Consults with customers concerning pre-sales design, development and maintenance of products/services.
• Assists sales channel, field teams and customers with pre-sales technical solutions.
• Responsible for knowledge transfer of advanced technical theory to target audiences.
• Communicates complex information and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to target audiences.
• Participates in products, solutions or services training to maintain technical knowledge, active certification and competence.
• Assists in determining the feasibility of proposal, conferring with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problem.
• Consults on advanced configurations on converged solutions.
•  "Sells best of breed" Solutions that include TD SYNNEX services Creates, presents, and executes strategies. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:

• Applies advanced knowledge of technical standards, principles and concepts.
• Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Solves highly complex and unusually challenging technical problems.
• Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and data.
•  Solutions are highly innovative and ingenious.
• Is expected to make improvements to technology standards and practices.
• Works virtually independently toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.
• Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion.
• Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others and only informally from direct supervisor.
• Might supervise 1 - 2 individuals who provide tactical / technical support.
• Serves as adviser to management and external spokesperson for the organization on major technical initiatives.
• Acts as an adviser to management and customers on advanced technical initiatives and applications.
• Actions guide and impact the successful completion of major projects. May function as a project leader.
• Effects of erroneous decisions are long-lasting, require the expenditure of extensive additional resources and will result in the organization's failure to meet objectives.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions:

• 10+ years with bachelor's or equivalent combination of formal education and directly   
• related experience.
• 8+ years with master's degree
• Education and Certification(s):
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education
• May be required to travel 20% to 30% of the time
• Field based Certification:
•  3-4 brands or advanced technical certifications in 1-2 brands.
