The Role

As a Cloud IT Architect – Azure at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions for enterprise clients. You will lead technical assessments, design reference architectures, and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy frameworks. This role requires collaboration with development and infrastructure teams, applying agile methods and leveraging CI/CD tools to deliver robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement cloud solutions on Azure for production workloads with high reliability, scalability, and security
• Perform technical assessments and develop cloud management architectures and reference models
• Identify and apply security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO27001, CIS)
• Collaborate with Dev and Infrastructure teams to manage DevOps and CI/CD processes
• Create and manage Serverless architectures and Microservices with technologies such as Azure Functions, Logic App, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and API Management
• Manage on-premises and hybrid cloud data centers, including automation with tools such as Terraform
• Use software lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Confluence
• Drive solution design sessions, integrating cross-functional requirements and defining technical roadmaps

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 4+ years of experience designing cloud solutions on Azure
• Advanced knowledge of Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Identity, Management Tools)
• Expertise in designing and developing large-scale systems
• Experience working across multiple industries
• Experience managing hybrid environments and using tools such as Terraform
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and software lifecycle management (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Experience leading teams of other technical subject matter experts
• Proven track record creating solution blueprints and technical roadmaps
• Certifications in Azure Architecture and Security
• Experience with enterprise virtualization and automation solutions such as VMware

The position will be governed by the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees of the Metalworking Industry (Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per i dipendenti dell’Industria Metalmeccanica e della Installazione di Impianti), with classification as Quadro.

The employment contract may be offered as a permanent employment contract (contratto a tempo indeterminato).

The salary range for the position in Italy is € 54.600,00 to € 98.150,00 based on a full-time schedule at the time of posting. The level assigned and the corresponding remuneration within the salary range indicated above will be determined in accordance with several factors such as, geographical tier, job-related skills, education and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. 

For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
