We are seeking a Cloud Engineer in El Segundo, CA, to join our secure cloud platform team supporting government customers within Gov Cloud Environments. This role focuses on operating, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and platform services in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position requires designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based systems and applications through infrastructure such as code and automation scripting, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. What you’ll do:
- Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures across multiple platforms based on program templates and established best practices
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable deployments
- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery
- Configure and optimize cloud security controls and compliance measures
- Design cloud native disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement performance optimizations Basic scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for operational tasks
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Security & Compliance Support
- Implement and maintain security controls in cloud environments under guidance of senior team members
- Support security audits, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation activities
- Assist with access control management, encryption key operations, and certificate management
- Contribute to security documentation and operational procedure maintenance
- Monitor infrastructure for security alerts and coordinate remediation with security teams
- Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Operate within Agile framework – participate in sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions
- Take ownership of assigned operational tasks and platform components
- Embrace fail-fast mentality – identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions, iterate quickly

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or 4 years equivalent work or military service; relevant technical certifications may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience 5+ years of cloud engineering and infrastructure, and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud)
- 3+ years experience implementing secure cloud architectures for enterprise or government environments
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting DNS, VPN, HTTPS, and networking configurations
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
- CompTIA Security+ (current) or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect certification, or ability to obtain required AWS certifications within 90 days of employment
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS familiarity: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, security services
- Azure experience: Azure Government Cloud, Azure DevOps Oracle
- Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline operations and support
- Familiarity with container orchestration operations (Kubernetes administration)
- Exeperience with VPN, firewall rules, security groups, load balancers
- Database operational support experience with backups, performance monitoring, basic administration SIEM tool familiarity (Splunk, CloudWatch Logs, or similar)
- Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ (current) or equivalent security certification
- ITIL Foundation or similar service management certification
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
- Agile/Scrum certifications
Clearance:
- Must be a US citizen with an active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility; active TS/SCI preferred
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
