Position assists investigators as coordinator of a complex asthma and allergy clinical research study; may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the school, sponsoring agency, community and the study participants; responsible for managing and recording all phases of study protocol as required by sponsoring agency to ensure complianceJob Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Confers with PI to assist in developing plans for research projects and discuss the interpretation of results; collaborates in the preparation of manuscripts for publications and preparation of grant proposals to sponsoring agencies; assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate.
- Routinely implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems; makes assessments and determinations of participants’ progress in the study; analyzes, investigates, and reports adverse events; makes decisions as when to notify physicians of issues, when to stop participant inclusion, and/or to make and/or recommend adjustment of the protocol of particular participants; resolves IRB/protocol management issues and recommends corrective action as appropriate; serves as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency
- Recruiting and enrolling participants and in preparing study visits, including; scheduling, sending virtual surveys and home collection kits to participants
- Performs pulmonary function studies on participants according to protocol and American Thoracic Society guidelines under the direction of the trial coordinator and PI. Maintains the quality control of the pulmonary function equipment, performs daily calibration, cleaning, and disinfection of pulmonary lab equipment
- Obtains and maintains all licenses and permits necessary and provides technical assistance on the use of science equipment and materials
- Performs data entry from information obtained during annual clinic visits. Maintains participant binders ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Verifies data queries and responds with proper coding of all bio-specimens before required deadline set by CC
- Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein

$54,600.00 - $81,900.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
