Client Services Specialist
Organization: TransAction Associates
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Primarily standard business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends required for public engagement, community events, and meetings.
Location: Hybrid; in-person work typically averages 2–3 days per week, with additional on-site meetings or events as needed
Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Support
• Provide administrative and operational support to the consulting team across multiple projects.
• Manage transportation programs for employers, municipalities, property owners, and local transportation partnerships that help people get to work and around their communities more easily, while reducing traffic and expanding transportation choices.
• Responsibilities include project planning and implementation, coordinating community outreach and engagement activities, developing effective communications materials, and creating and designing promotional campaigns to promote and raise awareness of transportation options such as public transit, carpooling, shuttle services, biking, and walking.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, community partners, and program participants, providing responsive support and helping ensure successful program delivery.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and program activities to help ensure successful project execution.
Communications, Marketing & Outreach
• Draft and distribute newsletters, announcements, and targeted communications.
• Support website updates, social media content, and email campaigns.
• Assist with the creation of promotional materials such as digital graphics, flyers, presentations, and web content.
Events & Engagement
• Plan and support outreach events, workshops, and promotional activities.
• Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual events, including scheduling, materials communications, registration, and follow-up.
• Represent client programs at community events, meetings, and other in-person activities.
• Develop creative ideas that improve program visibility and encourage engagement and participation.
Shuttle Program Support
• Assist the consulting team in supporting shuttle services planned and managed by TransAction Associates and operated in coordination with TransAction’s Corporate Shuttle Division and other contracted transportation providers.
• Provide customer support related to shuttle programs, including responding to rider inquiries, assisting with service communications, and planning and executing shuttle appreciation events.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to assist with roll out and promoting new shuttle services.
Business Development & Growth Support
• Support proposal development, grant applications, and new project pursuits.
• Assist with research, drafting, and coordination related to new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, planning, business, public policy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, project support, marketing,
communications, customer service, transportation, planning, consulting, or a related role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear and effective synthesis of information.
• Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills, experienced in working productively with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Works independently while collaborating effectively as part of a consulting team.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, including identifying needs and recommending practical solutions.
• Strong research and learning skills, with quick comprehension of new topics and a practical, client-focused application of knowledge.
• Strategic and creative thinker with an interest in improving programs, communications, and internal processes.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities, and adapts to changing client needs, project deadlines, and organizational priorities.
Preferred Experience
• Transportation demand management, transportation planning, sustainability, economic development. environmental science, or related fields.
• Graphic design software and tools (Canva, Adobe Illustrator), website platforms, survey tools, or basic GIS/mapping tools.
• Supporting public transit, commuter transportation or shuttle programs.
• Working in a consulting environment, including familiarity with time tracking, project budgets, and billable client work.
Additional Requirements
• Able to lift and transport event materials or equipment weighing up to approximately 25 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Travel locally to meetings, client sites, and events.
• Ability to spend time outdoors at events for extended periods when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
In this role, you will work with a collaborative consulting team while benefiting from the resources of a larger transportation organization. You will gain exposure to transportation planning, commuter programs, client service, outreach, marketing, and operations, with room to grow as your skills and interests develop.
Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000
