Job Details:

The Clerical Support II position in Medical Imaging is responsible for working closely with the Preauthorization Specialist in order to reviewing physician's orders, verify insurance and insurance requirements, and pre-authorization/certification approval daily prior to the patients arriving for their scheduled procedure in order to ensure payment.  Promotes an excellent first impression and demonstrates exemplary customer service skills in person and on the phone.  Immediately acknowledge the receipt of each order and prioritize the requests.  Continually interacts with patients, parents and physicians.  Assist the Office Coordinator II by calling results and if requested relay information to families. Enters, digitize, and imports previous CD/films into the PACS.  All job duties are accomplished under a moderate level of supervision.  This position collaborates with all divisions of the hospital.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience

• Experience in a medical office setting or patient access/scheduling preferred
