The Chief Commercial & Product Officer, Wealth ("CCPO Wealth") will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Wealth & Bermuda, with product functional reporting to the Group Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for driving and optimizing commercial and financial performance of Wealth across the Group.

The CCPO Wealth will play a critical leadership role in establishing Prudential's High Net Worth ("HNW") platform, spanning the Group's HNW propositions, products and channels. The role will oversee strategic finance and performance management, business planning, portfolio optimisation, data and analytics, product strategy and marketing, product development, pricing and implementation, and third-party reinsurance operationalisation.

The role will have oversight of Prudential Group HNW Products, including Bermuda and LBU HNW products The CCPO Wealth will provide strategic direction, product prioritization, and oversight of design, pricing and modeling. They will have accountability for the overall HNW product proposition across the Group. The CCPO will work closely with LBU teams to seek input on local needs and features, channel feedback, design, development and pricing matters, obtaining local approvals, and implementation.

Working closely with Distribution, Operations and Underwriting, Investments, Technology, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Group Finance and Legal, Risk and Compliance ("LRC"), the CCPO Wealth will ensure that the Wealth portfolio delivers sustainable growth, capital efficiency and long-term value creation. The role will also lead external product innovation and business development with strategic partners, including private banks, international brokers, reinsurers and other institutional partners.

Local Business Units ("LBU") will continue to own statutory and regulatory reporting and approvals, tax, controls, and legal entity responsibilities within their respective jurisdictions. The CCPO Wealth will establish consistent management reporting, financial governance, portfolio management and performance oversight across the Wealth platform.

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic finance and business performance

• Develop and execute Wealth's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term value creation.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting across the Wealth platform.
• Establish management reporting and performance dashboards across Wealth, providing insights into financial, commercial and operational performance.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators, including revenue, profitability, productivity, return on capital and value creation.
• Provide strategic financial advice, scenario analysis and decision support to the Wealth CEO, Executive Committee and Boards.

 

Product Strategy and Commercial Management

• Provide executive oversight of Wealth’s product strategy, development, capability build, and Group execution.  Accountable for the end-to-end HNW product lifecycle, including product strategy, roadmaps, development, standards, pricing, execution and product marketing; collaborate closely with LBUs to ensure alignment with local requirements and facilitate necessary approvals.
• Drive the product strategy and end-to-end product development of Prudential Bermuda products, ensuring alignment with the overall Wealth business strategy.
• Ensure products deliver sustainable profitability, capital efficiency and differentiated customer value.
• Lead the design and operationalisation of third-party reinsurance arrangements to enhance capital efficiency and product competitiveness.
• Oversee governance for standard, bespoke and exception pricing, balancing commercial opportunities with financial discipline.
• Review and challenge business cases, product economics and investment decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Align product priorities with Wealth's overall financial strategy and portfolio objectives.

 

Financial governance and platform management

• Establish consistent financial governance, management reporting and performance frameworks across the Wealth platform.
• Partner with the Bermuda CFO and LBU CFOs to ensure alignment between platform oversight and local legal entity responsibilities.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and decision-making processes across Wealth initiatives.
• Leverage data and analytics to strengthen financial insight, forecasting and executive decision-making.
• Work closely with Group Finance to align Wealth financial management with Group policies and standards.

 

Strategic partnerships and Wealth Centre of Excellence

• Support external product innovation and business development with strategic partners, including private banks, international brokers and reinsurers.
• Partner with Wealth Finance and Actuarial to support Wealth CDO driving commercial structuring and financial evaluation of strategic partnerships and bespoke propositions.
• Establish Wealth Centre of Excellence for strategic finance, portfolio management, product economics and pricing.
• Develop common financial frameworks, methodologies and best practices for adoption across Wealth Hubs and LBUs.
• Promote continuous improvement in financial management, analytics and portfolio optimisation across the Wealth platform.

 

Leadership and organisation development

• Build and lead the Wealth Strategic Finance and Product organisations.
• Develop organisational capabilities spanning strategic finance, product economics, analytics and portfolio optimisation.
• Foster a culture of commercial discipline, innovation, accountability and collaboration.
• Champion effective partnership across Wealth, Prudential Bermuda, LBUs and Group functions to deliver the Wealth strategy.
• Coach and develop senior leaders, building succession and organisational capability across the platform.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline (FIA, MBA, CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred).
• 20+ years of experience in product and/or finance leadership within insurance, wealth management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, solvency requirements (e.g., BSCR, ECR), and international frameworks (e.g., ICS, Solvency II, RBC).
• Proven track record in product development & pricing, strategic finance, portfolio optimization and business performance.
• Experience operating across multiple markets within a complex, matrixed organisation.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, pricing, ALM, investments, reinsurance and financial governance.
• Experience leading complex, multi-market organisations and influencing Boards, regulators and senior executives
• Demonstrated experience developing strategic partnerships and commercial growth initiatives.
• Experience leading finance transformation, operating model redesign or large-scale strategic initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth, capital efficiency, risk and customer outcomes.

 

Preferred Attributes

• Experience building or scaling a regional Wealth or High Net Worth business.
• Strong understanding of insurance capital frameworks, embedded value, IFRS 17 and economic value measurement.
• Experience working across multiple Asian insurance markets and offshore Wealth structures.
