About ACC Echuca

ACC Echuca, is located at Echuca, Victoria, and is a P-10, co-ed, Christian school. Secondary year groups are being added each year until P-12 is catered for.

About the Role

We are seeking a committed Christian Chaplain to provide spiritual guidance, pastoral care and wellbeing support to students. The Chaplain will play a key role in fostering a Christ-centred school culture, encouraging students in their faith and supporting their personal, social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance and wellbeing support to students.
• Lead and support chapel services, devotions, Bible studies and Christian discipleship activities.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Encourage students to explore and grow in their Christian faith.
• Support students experiencing personal, social or emotional challenges, referring matters to appropriate professionals when required.
• Work collaboratively with school leadership and staff to promote student wellbeing and a positive school culture.
• Contribute to school events, camps and community activities.
• Uphold the College's Christian ethos, child safety standards and professional boundaries.

This part-time (0.4FTE) role commences Term 1 2027 and is a 1 year contract due to funding.

• Child safety is a shared responsibility. Every person involved in our school has an important role in promoting child safety and wellbeing and promptly raising any issues or concerns about a child’s safety.
• We are committed to regularly reviewing our child safe practices, and seeking input from our students, families, staff, and volunteers to inform our ongoing strategies.

As a part of your application, you must read and support the Child Safety & Wellbeing Policy and the Child Safety Code of Conduct.

Common Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;
• Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
• Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
• Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
• Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
• Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress;
• Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
• Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
• Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
