What You Will Do:

Hot Section Module Center- North (HSMC-N) is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment as a Quality Cell Leader.  This role reports to the Business Unit Leader and will be supporting a multi-shift operation by leading a team of approximately 40 inspectors. You will support the business by setting priorities for inspectors and lead sustained improvements through training and development of your team in conjunction with daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervising and providing directions to a group of hourly inspectors in HSMC-N
• Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts with a focus on safety, quality, and delivery
• Perform daily supervisory responsibility including time & attendance management, training compliance, and job assignments
• Establish work schedules, taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
• Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
• Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement
• Drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence).

 

 

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience with specialized knowledge of operational practices or shop environment experience,
• OR a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience;
• OR an Associate’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience,
• OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience

 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Previous experience working within Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment and/or familiarity with AS9100 regulations

• 2 years of previous leadership experience, preferably in a union environment or within a QA department

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, develop talent, and motivate teams to achieve business goals.

• Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
• Experience using Microsoft Office and SAP
• Demonstrated ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
