To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Buyer within theProcurement team! This position will be located in Gokak.

This position is responsible for effective and cost oriented sourcing operations for the plant adhering to the SOP's with a focus on sustainable and enviroment friendly outlook.

Key accountabilities:

• Dealing with User departments for understanding the Purchase requirements
• Receive and monitor purchase requisitions.
• Identifying suppliers, floating enquiries/RFPs, preparing TBA & CBA of offers received from vendors, negotiation and creating orders/Rate-contracts. Releasing purchase orders as required.
• Managing the relationship with the vendors on the ongoing basis to ensure adherence to the supply and performance
• Supporting users and account department for payment process.
• Developing the vendor for ARC for consolidating various consumable requirements
• Understanding the requirement and managing alternative suppliers which is cost effective
• Preparing MIS Reports as per requirement of management within the given deadline
• Maintaining of records and documents concerned for Audit and compliance
• Budget/Saving Related Reports
• Ensuring Material Availability at plant within defined & desired realistic timeline related to Projects & Import.
• Provides guidance and assistance to the team in all aspects of purchasing.
• Ensures that all purchasing is in compliance with regulations and laws related to Purchasing practices and in accordance with Roquette standard practices.
• Coordinates and resolves problems with end user departments and suppliers
• Resolving issues and correspondence with vendor / contractors for material delivery
• Managing logistics activities and co-ordination with store and account department for payment process.
• Defining and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory at plant based on production plan.

What we love about you:

• B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) / Diploma in Materials Management (preferred)
• Experience in Energy /Fuel Management Portfolio
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in knowledge of purchasing principals, Market knowledge on Capital purchase, negotiation skills, Project management, supplier development and supplier evaluation & others.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with the relevant functions like Engg., manufacturing to help clearly define purchasing
• Defining and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory at plant based on production plan.
• Must have very good control over MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
• Must believe in giving results and follow SOP in procurement process
• MS Office tools – Excel, Power point, Power BI, Word
• Good Interpersonal Skill and Positive attitude
• Ability to deal with plant stakeholders, vendors
