The role

• The Business Intelligence & Foreign Influence Analyst will be responsible for developing an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the global business environment in which Nebius operates. The role encompasses research and analysis of markets and countries, competitors, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders, as well as political, regulatory, economic, and societal trends that may affect the company’s operations and strategic objectives. 

• The Analyst will monitor relevant developments, identify emerging changes, risks, and opportunities, and assess their potential implications for the company. Areas of focus will include competitor and supplier analysis, country and market assessments, mapping of the business and regulatory environment, analysis of geopolitical trends and cross-border influence activities where relevant to the business environment, and monitoring of narratives and public developments that may affect the company’s operations and reputation. 

• The Analyst will transform information from diverse sources into clear, well-founded deliverables, including business assessments, profiles, market and country reviews, and decision-focused briefings. The role will support management and internal teams in planning processes, market entry, the evaluation of sites and projects, business engagements, and preparation for significant meetings, while providing an integrated global perspective that enables informed decision-making. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Monitor and analyze business trends and developments across markets and countries relevant to Nebius’ operations and growth plans. 
• Conduct market and competitor research, including the assessment of strategy, positioning, business activities, geographic expansion, investments, partnerships, and key industry developments. 
• Analyze the landscape of suppliers, partners, and key participants across the value chain to identify changes, dependencies, and exposures that may affect the company’s operations. 
• Prepare country and market reviews to support the evaluation of new markets, business expansion, projects, and commercial opportunities. 
• Assess the business and regulatory environment, including factors and trends that may affect the company, its partners, and strategic projects. 
• Monitor geopolitical developments, policy changes, and international dynamics, and assess their potential implications for the company and the markets in which it operates. 
• Analyze relevant media and public trends, community activity, and reputational issues affecting the company and its business environment. 
• Provide research support for the evaluation of sites, land, and transactions, including analysis of the local context and matters relating to infrastructure, power, water, planning, and permitting. 
• Prepare business profiles and briefings for meetings, engagements, executive visits, and decision-making processes. 
• Produce reviews, assessments, trend analyses, and decision-focused briefings for management and internal teams, working closely with relevant stakeholders to align deliverables with business needs. 

We expect you to have: 

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, competitive intelligence, market research, corporate research, business and geopolitical risk analysis, or another relevant research field. 
• Professional experience with business research firms. 
• Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing companies, competitors, suppliers, stakeholders, markets, countries, and regulatory environments. 
• Strong ability to collect, evaluate, and integrate information from open sources, business databases, public records, professional publications, corporate disclosures, media sources, and digital platforms. 
• Demonstrated ability to connect signals, events, and findings from different sources, identify patterns and changes over time, and develop assessments and forecasts with business and strategic relevance. 
• Experience producing high-quality reviews, assessments, and briefings for executives and senior stakeholders. 
• Ability to identify trends, relationships, changes, and information gaps and assess their potential implications for the company. 
• Excellent command of English, including strong writing, editing, and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex subjects clearly, accurately, and concisely. 
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and research projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work within changing timelines. 
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and handle sensitive business information responsibly. 
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, economics, international relations, political science, law, regional studies, or a comparable discipline. 

It will be an added bonus if you have: 

• Experience working in a global company, research organization, technology company, or international business environment. 
• Familiarity with cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data centers, infrastructure, energy, or technology sectors. 
• Experience supporting market-entry processes, investment assessments, site evaluations, business background reviews, or strategic decision-making processes. 
• Experience using digital research tools, business databases, and information monitoring and analysis platforms. 
• Proficiency in Russian and/or Chinese. 
• Experience using artificial intelligence tools and Microsoft Office applications. 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions.
