Since our founding in 2012, we've become the World's Best Hotel PMS Solutions Provider and landed on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 again in 2024, but we're just getting started.
The Role:
As we scale, our Sales Development team is the front line for identifying and engaging the properties and hospitality groups who will benefit most from our platform. This is a BDR role with a slight twist: in addition to prospecting, qualifying, and booking demos for our Account Executives, you'll play a direct role in maintaining clean, well-organized property and account data — including capturing accurate account hierarchy (property, brand, chain, group relationships) as part of your day-to-day workflow.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who is comfortable working a structured pipeline, enjoys the details of good data hygiene, and has been testing how AI-powered tools can make prospecting sharper and more efficient.
How You'll Make an Impact:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will help drive Cloudbeds’ growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying independent hotels, boutique properties, and hospitality groups. You will generate qualified pipeline for our Account Executives while helping maintain accurate, well-structured account and property data in Salesforce. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who enjoys outbound prospecting, works well within a structured pipeline, and is curious about using data and AI-powered tools to make prospecting more effective.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Research, identify, and prioritize target properties and hospitality groups within assigned territories or market segments.
- Execute high-quality outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate interest and qualified pipeline.
- Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated demand using Cloudbeds’ established qualification framework.
- Book qualified demos and meetings for Account Executives, providing a smooth handoff with complete and relevant prospect context.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Cloudbeds platform and tailor your messaging to each prospect’s property type, business needs, and pain points.
- Build and manage a clear plan of attack for your territory or target-account list, prioritizing effectively and maintaining a disciplined outreach cadence.
- Consistently meet or exceed activity, qualified-meeting, and pipeline-generation targets.
- Accurately maintain property, contact, ownership, management, brand, chain, and group information in Salesforce.
- Identify and document relationships between individual properties and their parent brands, chains, ownership groups, or management companies.
- Flag duplicate, outdated, or incomplete records and follow Cloudbeds’ established data-governance processes.
- Partner with GTM Intelligence and Revenue Operations to improve data quality and provide frontline feedback on gaps in account information.
- Support prospecting campaigns connected to Cloudbeds Connect, trade shows, webinars, regional events, and other marketing programs.
- Execute targeted pre-event outreach and timely post-event follow-up, segmenting prospects based on fit, engagement, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate event and campaign records in Salesforce so meetings, pipeline, and campaign ROI can be measured effectively.
- Explore how AI-assisted prospecting, enrichment, messaging, and call-intelligence tools can improve outreach quality and productivity.
- Share practical feedback and ideas as Cloudbeds continues to develop AI-powered GTM workflows.
What Sets You Up for Success (required):
- 2+ years of B2B sales or sales development.
- Strong interest in developing a career in sales and progressing into a closing role.
- Confidence conducting cold outreach and handling initial prospect objections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to personalize messaging rather than rely solely on generic scripts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline, competing priorities, and time-sensitive campaigns.
- A disciplined, detail-oriented approach to CRM management and account-data accuracy.
- A self-starter mentality, with the ability to build and execute a personal plan of attack without heavy day-to-day oversight.
- Motivation to perform against clear activity and pipeline goals.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Salesloft or a comparable sales-engagement platform.
- Curiosity about AI tools and how they can improve prospecting, research, and sales effectiveness.
Bonus Skills to Stand Out:
- Experience selling into or working within the hospitality or lodging industry.
- Familiarity with property-management systems or other hospitality technology.
- Experience working with parent-child account hierarchies or complex account structures in a CRM.
- Experience with Clay, Apollo, or other AI-powered enrichment and prospecting tools.
- Experience supporting event-based prospecting, field-marketing campaigns, or structured lead-nurture programs.
- Multilingual capabilities.
