Our client are looking for a commercially minded Manager to support business growth through effective marketing delivery, sales support, bid preparation and writing, and performance insight. This role will help strengthen market presence, support high-quality commercial and bid materials, coordinate campaigns and events, improve the effectiveness of sales processes and reporting, and champion the smart use of AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance productivity, insight, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, events, and sales enablement activities.
* Develop high-quality presentations, proposals, bid submissions, and customer-facing materials that communicate value clearly and consistently.
* Help shape clear and compelling value propositions that support customer engagement and differentiate our services in the market.
* Coordinate cross-functional input to support business development opportunities and commercial priorities.
* Coordinate and manage bid preparation, bid writing, and the wider proposal process to support timely, high-quality responses to commercial opportunities.
* Maintain accurate sales and marketing information to support reporting, planning, and decision-making.
* Track and evaluate return on marketing investment (ROMI) to help assess campaign effectiveness, inform resource allocation, and support continuous improvement.
* Monitor sales performance against agreed KPIs, helping to identify trends, track progress, and support informed commercial decision-making.
* Contribute to continuous improvement through efficient processes, data-driven insight, and the effective use of AI-enabled and digital tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Experience in B2B marketing, sales support, sales operations, or a related commercial role.
- Strong written communication, bid writing, and content development skills, with the ability to produce clear and professional commercial materials.
- Good analytical and organisational skills, with confidence working with data, reporting, and business systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work across teams, and deliver to deadlines.
- Degree-qualified or equivalent relevant experience. Confidence using digital productivity tools, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency and quality would be an advantage.
- Industry Experience
- Experience in maritime, shipping, logistics, or another B2B service environment would be beneficial.
- An understanding of customer-focused commercial processes and business development support is highly desirable.
