About the Job
As our Brand Media Manager for Germany, you’ll play a key role in shaping the media strategy for one of our largest markets in Europe.
Working within our European Media & Creative team and in close partnership with local Marketing colleagues, you’ll develop impactful media strategies that strengthen our brand and support business growth. You’ll bring fresh thinking and local market expertise to the table, with the opportunity to influence how we invest in media and connect with consumers, while benefiting from the reach and scale of a global brand.
Key Responsibilities
Shape our brand media strategy
- Develop and shape the annual brand media strategy for Germany, translating brand and commercial objectives into effective, full-funnel media plans.
- Partner with the Head of Media and local Marketing team to define advertising investment priorities, budgets and forecasts.
- Determine and continually optimise the media mix across digital and offline channels, including streaming, online video, social media and print.
- Leverage consumer insights and market trends to inform media decisions, strengthen brand equity and support business growth.
Lead media planning and partnerships
- Manage the local media agency relationship, from strategic briefing and planning to campaign delivery, forecasting and performance reviews.
- Oversee a significant annual paid media budget, challenging agency recommendations and ensuring effective allocation of investments.
- Collaborate closely with local Marketing, Creative, PR and Performance Media teams to deliver integrated, 360° campaigns.
- Work with European media colleagues to share best practices and align local media plans with wider brand priorities.
Drive innovation and media effectiveness
- Stay ahead of emerging media trends, platforms and technologies, identifying innovative opportunities across digital and traditional media.
- Champion a full-funnel media and creative approach, ensuring media plans connect with wider brand and commercial objectives.
- Enhance media reporting and measurement, translating campaign performance and consumer insights into actionable recommendations for future investment.
About You
- We're looking for someone with a strong background in media strategy and planning, ideally with 8+ years of experience gained in a media agency or an in-house media team.
- Strong knowledge of the German media landscape, particularly digital brand media, alongside a good understanding of traditional channels.
- A passion for brand building and an understanding of how media can connect with consumers and support commercial objectives.
- Experience managing media agencies and significant budgets, with the confidence to challenge ideas and contribute to strategic decisions.
- A strategic and analytical mindset, combined with a willingness to get involved in the details when needed.
- A collaborative, proactive approach, comfortable working across teams, sharing ideas and bringing fresh perspectives.
- Fluency in German and English.
This is a hybrid position based in our Offenbach office. You will be expected to work from the office three days per week, although office attendance may vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary for this role is €76,500 gross per annum.The amount an employee will earn will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and our needs. Salary ranges may vary by location and currency.
