We are seeking a detail-driven and persistent Bilingual Dental Biller to support a growing Dental practice. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience managing the full cycle of dental claims and prior authorizations, demonstrating high accuracy in CDT coding, insurance eligibility verifications, payment reconciliation, and direct carrier communications to resolve aging accounts and denials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit & Process Dental Claims: Submit new claims through Dental Exchange, review incoming EOBs, and perform daily audits to make sure no claims go unbilled.
- Resolve Denials & Aging Claims: Identify rejected/denied claims, determine the root cause, resubmit corrected claims, and track all unpaid or aging claims until fully resolved.
- Verify Insurance Benefits: Check coverage details (maximums, deductibles, frequencies, exclusions) prior to appointments and accurately update patient records in DentiMax.
- Handle Prior Authorizations: Submit authorization requests, follow up with carriers, inform the clinical team of outcomes, and prepare formal appeals for any denied requests.
- Reconcile Payments & Work A/R: Match posted payments against EOBs, investigate missing or delayed payments, and work aging reports to keep outstanding balances low.
- Insurance Communication & Call Logs: Make outbound calls to carriers regarding claim status, denials, and missing payments, keeping detailed logs (rep names, reference numbers) in DentiMax.
- Apply CDT Coding: Review clinical documentation to ensure accurate CDT coding and correct errors before submission to prevent rejections or underpayments.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of U.S.-based dental billing, claims processing, or prior authorization experience.
Software: Proven, hands-on experience using DentiMax EMR/Dental Exchange/ Dentrix
Language: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent reading, writing, and speaking).
Core Skills: Proficient in CDT coding, working EOBs/aging AR reports, and full-cycle payment reconciliation.
Carrier Communication: Confident making outbound calls to insurance carriers to resolve claim denials.
Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a starting pay rate of $6 per hour depending on skillset and experience.
