The primary focus of this role is managing a team to be as successful as possible, meeting performance expectations and driving progress every day in our work. This team manages highly complex retirement benefits programs offered to employees, retirees and dependents of the Federal Reserve System. The team manages many facets of relationships and service performances of external vendors, partners with many internal vendors to ensure compliance and best delivery. Critical thinking, financial savvy, collaboration, and strong communication skills are key to effective program management.
We’re looking for an experienced and confident people leader, ideally with a background in guiding operational teams through periods of change. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, manage projects effectively, and establish procedural rigor through strong team leadership.
You’ll manage a team working across the Federal Reserve System, on all retirement programs to research best practices, benchmark programs, evaluate trends, recommend and continuously evaluate the Federal Reserve’s benefits program. You will report to the AVP, Plan Administration.
You will be working in Newark, NJ for a division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (Office of Employee Benefits) as part of the Plan Administration team’s one of two Benefits Plan Managers overseeing multiple programs, vendors and communicating with stakeholders across the Federal Reserve System.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as coach and support to those accountable for vendor management responsibilities for System-wide benefits programs.
Ensures self and team maintain current knowledge of and relevant certifications in legal, regulatory, plan compliance and changes for System benefits.
Uses data to regularly recommend benefit plan strategies, evaluation of plan design changes, cost and participant impact.
Lead continuous improvement in process and identify policy enhancements and opportunities to offer appropriate benefits backage to the Federal Reserve System.
Develop and lead presentations for oversight committees and Reserve Bank and Board of Governors stakeholders.
Lead high-visibility projects with measurable outcomes.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
Experience: Eight+ years of experience preferred, at least three managing a team

Additional Requirements:
This position will require at minimum fingerprinting for a criminal background check, education and employment verification, along with potential additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of any required background screening. These screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to approximately 8 weeks to be completed.
