The Role
Our Institutional Advisory team works with nonprofits, foundations, and endowments — and every relationship starts with a conversation. We're looking for a Business Development Specialist to open those conversations. This is a high-volume outbound role: you'll be reaching out to executive leaders and board members at nonprofit organizations every day, building rapport, and setting up meetings for our sales team. You don't need a finance background to succeed here — you need to enjoy the hustle of the phone, care about doing right by the people you talk to, and want to build a career in institutional sales.
Your Impact
- Execute high-volume daily outbound outreach to executive leaders and board members at nonprofit organizations, foundations, and endowments
- Research and engage key decision-makers using LinkedIn and other prospecting tools
- Clearly and persuasively communicate our value proposition, tailored to each organization's needs
- Qualify prospective institutions and hand off warm opportunities to the sales team
- Log and manage all outreach activity, notes, and lead status in our CRM, and use that data to sharpen your approach over time
The Ideal Match
- Prior experience in a direct outbound sales, tele-sales, or business development role
- High energy and genuine comfort with sustained daily outbound calling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the poise to speak with senior executives and board members
- Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to build a long-term career in sales
- Comfort learning and working within a CRM and prospecting tools
Bonus Points
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or other prospecting platforms
- Familiarity with financial, investment, or consulting concepts
