POSITION SUMMARY:

Food and Beverage employees at Arapahoe Basin are committed to creating a day worth repeating for our guests ensuring “Legendary” service and food quality throughout our Food and Beverage outlets. 

As a Bartender at Arapahoe Basin, you are responsible for taking, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with guest preference and Abasin procedures to ensure each guest has the best experience possible.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
 

Hourly pay range: $15.16/hr + tips

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Welcome customers, read and listen to people to determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders 
• Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers 
• Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol 
• Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations 
• Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment 
• Service guests in table service environment in accordance with Arapahoe Basin service standards 
• Follows F&B cash handling policies including transaction and change-making procedures. Responsible for an accurate cash drop. 
• Able to multitask while cleaning, filling ordering, and prepping all while talking to guests’ and making them feel welcome 
• Completes opening and closing procedures, depending on shift, according to manager’s instruction 
• Makes sure all areas are stocked with supplies and notifies any product or equipment needs in accordance to F&B procedures 
• Follow waste, recycling, and composting procedures in accordance with company environmental policies 
• Other duties as assigned  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years serving or bartending experience – preferred  
• Cocktail, beer, and wine knowledge – preferred 
• Requires a person with high energy, self-direction, attention to detail and the ability to multitask. 
• Strong task and time management abilities. 
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques. 
• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. 
• Basic math and computer skills. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Must be available on weekends and holidays
• Must provide own non-slip shoes
• This position requires successful completion of a background check

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• TIPS certification – required  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times
• Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8+ hour shift
• Ability to navigate stairs throughout shift
• Ability to Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Our Restaurant located at 10,820. Ability to work at altitude is a must. 
• Ability to work in a crowd environment and maintain focus. 
• A successful employee had a great attitude, flexible, and a willingness to be part of a team.
• May have a chairlift ride commute to work. F&B employees are unable to ski or ride on the clock.
