What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit Bank Senior Clinical Pharmacists – Oncology to join our Pharmacy team. While our Oncology Centre is in development, this is an exciting opportunity for experienced oncology pharmacists to help shape a brand-new service from the ground up. The Bank Senior Clinical Pharmacists will play a key role in establishing the necessary guidelines, policies, and protocols ahead of opening, ensuring a robust, safe, and patient-centred oncology pharmacy service is in place from the outset.

We have flexible shifts available between 08:00 and 20:00, Monday to Friday, with the potential for additional weekend work.

The post holders will provide expert pharmaceutical care across inpatient wards, chemotherapy day units, and outpatient clinics. This includes the clinical screening and verification of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions, as well as a key role in medicines governance, supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing review of oncology guidelines and protocols.

What will your duties include?

• Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy service standards, guidelines and care pathways relevant to oncology.
• Support the introduction of new medicines, commissioning decisions and treatment protocols in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to oncology and haematology patients across inpatient wards, the chemotherapy day unit and outpatient clinics.
• Act as an authorised pharmacist in the pharmacy aseptic unit, undertaking prescription validation and release of chemotherapy, biological and CIVAS products.
• Development and maintenance of up-to-date oncology pharmaceutical guidelines, protocols and Patient Group Directions.

What we need from you?

• Completion of a master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent) (essential).
• Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience (essential).
• Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (essential).
• BOPA passport - level 2c adult solid tumour and haematology modules (desirable).
• Significant experience in oncology and/or haematology pharmacy (essential).
• Experience of clinical verification of SACT prescriptions (essential).
