About the Role

As an IOC Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and validating software for automotive IO Controller (IOC) platforms based on automotive microcontrollers such as Renesas RH850, Infineon Aurix, or NXP S32. You will work on vehicle communication, AUTOSAR integration, CAN/CAN-FD signal management, and MCU-to-SoC communication for next-generation cockpit and infotainment systems. This is an individual contributor role involving development, debugging, and system integration activities across multiple automotive domains.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain embedded software for IOC applications.
• Integrate and validate automotive CAN/CAN-FD signals.
• Analyze customer DBC files and implement signal mapping.
• Configure AUTOSAR Basic Software modules and generate configurations.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers for SPI, UART, I2C, GPIO, ADC, and PWM interfaces.
• Support IOC and SoC communication interfaces.
• Perform root cause analysis of software and integration issues.
• Support flashing, bring-up, testing, and production releases.
• Collaborate with platform, middleware, HMI, and vehicle integration teams.
• Participate in code reviews and support software quality and process compliance activities.

What You Need to Be Successful

• 3-8 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development.
• Strong knowledge of Embedded C programming and real-time embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with CAN and CAN-FD protocols.
• Strong understanding of DBC-based signal integration and vehicle communication.
• Experience with AUTOSAR modules
• Hands-on experience with Vector DaVinci Configurator.
• Experience using Vector CANoe and/or CANalyzer.
• Experience with MCU platforms such as:

v  Renesas RH850

v  Infineon Aurix

v  NXP S32

v  STM32

• Strong debugging skills in embedded and automotive environments.
• Experience with communication interfaces:

v  SPI

v  UART

v  I2C

v  GPIO

v  ADC

v  PWM

Bonus Points if You Have

• Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety concepts.
• Experience with UDS diagnostics and DTC handling.
• Experience with Automotive Ethernet protocols.
• Knowledge of Bootloader development and firmware update mechanisms.
• Experience with MCU-to-SoC communication architectures.
• Experience working on Automotive Cockpit, Infotainment, Cluster, or Vehicle Integration programs.
• Familiarity with Qualcomm automotive platforms.
• Experience in A2B audio systems and display control interfaces.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and CI/CD environments.
