The opportunity
Lead the IT-wide Test Automation capability by evaluating, selecting and enabling standardized automation approaches and tools for use by Delivery Units and their delivery partners.
How you will make an impact
Own the Test Automation technology strategy and recommended tool landscape
Evaluate and recommend Test Automation solutions for Hitachi Energy IT and enable reuse and adoption across Delivery Units
Act as senior expert toward internal teams and strategic vendors
Assess automation technologies, vendors and emerging testing capabilities
Define recommended automation standards and reusable frameworks
Lead tool evaluations, pilots and selection processes and provide preferred tools and approaches for use by Delivery Units
Support teams and vendors with onboarding and implementation guidance
Challenge fragmented or duplicate automation tooling
Track adoption, coverage and effectiveness
Coordinate with QA & Testing, Delivery Units, Architecture and external service provider
Your background
10+ years of experience in large global corporation
7+ years of professional experience in test management, test automation and modern software delivery
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tooling
Experience evaluating and selecting enterprise technologies
Strong technical leadership without formal people-management responsibility
Strong vendor, analytical and stakeholder-management skills
