Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Machine Automation Division (B&R), Service organization in Türkiye.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Reports any integrity, compliance, safety, cybersecurity, quality, contract, program, and cost issues to the management and/or project manager(s) for resolution.
• Ensures that engineering activities and deliverables comply with safety and cybersecurity regulations and standards and contractual requirements.
• Ensures the project meets the technical requirements of the contract and is technically completed as part of contract closure activities.
• Collaborates with the supply chain function and the project manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations.
• Coordinates with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract)
• Assists in preparing proposal / presentation of engineering projects / programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Automation Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering,
• At least 2 years of experience in the industry.
• Possess an enhanced interest in automation, programming, digitalization, AI and innovation.
• You are passionate about structured programming, with basic knowledge of IEC 61131 languages or C. You are familiar with industrial automation products, such as PLCs, motion control systems, and SCADA. You possess basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, mathematics, control theory and AI infrastructures. Knowledge of object-oriented programming is also appreciated.
• Knowledge of major simulation and modeling tools (Matlab Simulink, MapleSim) and familiarity with theoretical and practical concepts of artificial vision are also appreciated.
• You are at ease communicating English, both written and spoken and fluent in Turkish.
• You have willingness to work in a team and have a strong inclination for continuous training and improvement
• You are available to travel within the assigned area, as well as occasionally throughout Türkiye and abroad for short trips.
