À propos de ce poste Associate - Strategy & Operations chez DoorDash USA
About the Team
DoorDash Digital Ordering is DoorDash’s leading SaaS business unit, offering a suite of products across online ordering, branded websites and mobile apps, loyalty solutions, and more that enable restaurants to reach customers and grow their revenue through their own first-party channels.
The business is one of the fastest-growing segments within DoorDash, and yet is only scratching the surface of a generational opportunity to better serve hundreds of thousands of merchants across the Americas to help them grow their business and improve working lives in one of the country’s biggest industry sectors.
Strategy & Operations sits at the center of that opportunity. The team partners with Product to set the strategy and vision for every offering in the suite, across our SMB and enterprise merchants. We decide what to build, where to invest, and how to bring it to market, and we learn by putting products in front of merchants and running the experiments that show us what moves their business.
As part of this team, the Associate will take end-to-end ownership of one or more product initiatives and lead the cross-functional execution that brings them to life. Your work will be instrumental to helping grow Digital Ordering into an industry-leading B2B SaaS offering.
About the Role
As an Associate on the Digital Ordering Strategy & Operations team, you will own one or more product initiatives within our first-party suite from end to end. You will develop the strategy, define key results, and drive execution in partnership with S&O, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Implementation, Sales, and Marketing. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who can move fast and wear many hats, equal parts analyst, builder, operator, and cross-functional leader.
You will own zero-to-one experiments and initiatives that improve products already operating at scale, help shape the roadmap with Product, and work directly with merchants and frontline teams to identify the gaps worth solving. Scope on this team grows with demonstrated ownership, and the people who do well here identify problems independently and come back with a plan to solve them.
You will join the Foundational Products team, the products that are table stakes for every restaurant we serve and that drive the core of our revenue today across SMB and Enterprise. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of Strategy & Operations, Foundational Products.
We’re especially excited about candidates who’ve worked in fast-moving, founder-led, or resource-constrained environments, those who see lack of structure as an opportunity to build.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own product initiatives from end to end and be accountable for their results
- Imagine, develop, and execute on workstreams from start to completion with little oversight
- Oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution
- Build deep and meaningful relationships with merchants, laser focused on helping them thrive
- Have the opportunity to truly make a scalable, measurable impact on the restaurant industry in the US and abroad
- Operate comfortably in ambiguous environments while maintaining a strong bias for action
- Grow your scope as you demonstrate ownership and impact
- Communicate precisely dependent on audience and level of detail necessary to share
- Represent the DoorDash brand with humility and a customer-first mindset
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own product initiatives: Take end-to-end ownership of one or more product initiatives. Develop the strategy, define goals and key results, and build the business case, financial model, and go-to-market plan. Drive execution from launch into growth, with accountability for the results.
- Lead cross-functionally: Bring Product, Engineering, Analytics, Implementation, Sales, Marketing, and Support behind a plan and hold partners accountable to it without formal authority. You will be the connective tissue that keeps a launch on schedule and the feedback loop that informs what gets built next.
- Analyze: Pair complex data analysis with qualitative insight from merchants and frontline teams to guide strategic decisions. Build your own models, assess weekly performance against key results, and translate findings into action plans, adjusting course as needed.
- Experiment: Design and launch zero-to-one tests, build AI tools and automations to support internal processes and product launches, and pilot tools, demos, or prototype agents. Move quickly to retire what does not work and scale what does. You will work directly with merchants, including occasional travel to stores and running in-market tests as needed.
- Represent the merchant: Act as the voice of the merchant and the field, leading discovery interviews and synthesizing feedback from Sales, Implementation, Support, and merchants themselves to help influence product roadmaps and go-to-market priorities. You will ensure our products resonate with restaurants and scale with repeatable excellence.
- Scale learnings: Codify what works. Build the repeatable frameworks, processes, and enablement that raise the bar across the org, and define best practices for launching new products in a way that’s scalable and measurable.
The best candidates will:
- Think like a founder, identifying the problems nobody flagged, building the case for solving them, and driving them to resolution with limited structure or direction
- Bring strong analytical horsepower and intellectual curiosity, comfortable diving into complex data and extracting insights that drive real-world decisions
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments, moving with urgency, defaulting to action, taking ownership end to end, and knowing when to bend process to get things done
- Lead cross-functional teams through influence, building trust with Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing partners and holding them to their commitments
- Communicate clearly across audiences, presenting findings and defending recommendations with data
- Have experience working closely with Sales or frontline teams, and know how to turn insights from those teams into action
- Bring hands-on experience using AI, automation, or internal tooling to improve workflows or prototype solutions
We’re excited about you because you…
- Have 2-3 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product, or founder-type roles
- Have taken a product or initiative from inception through launch and into growth, leading cross-functional partners without a fully defined brief
- Demonstrate the judgment to identify gaps worth solving and shape product priorities alongside S&O and Product partners
- Can independently devise and execute a strategy to achieve business outcomes
- Bring a strong analytical background, with the ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful insights (proficiency in SQL preferred)
- Lead cross-functionally and influence without authority across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing
- Define goals and key results for your initiatives, and hold yourself accountable for achieving them
- Bring exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain insights, defend recommendations, and tailor messaging across frontline teams, senior leaders, and merchants
- Have piloted or built with AI tools in real-world workflows, such as automating processes, prototyping solutions, or supporting product launches
- Bring a founder mindset, identifying problems independently and driving them to resolution
- Bachelor's degree required.
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Founding or operating your own company or product, or an early employee role at a startup
- Building and executing go-to-market motions
- Working in a high-growth environment
- Client or account management
- Building financial or sales forecasting models
- Restaurant, SaaS, or marketplace businesses
- Both zero-to-one work in a lean environment and scaling products at a larger organization
- Are the first in your family to attend college
