About the role

As an Engineering Manager, you will have a significant impact on your team's operations. You will continuously enhance tools and processes for people management while collaborating with engineering managers to define new workflows and implement improvements.
This is a hybrid role located in Zielona Gora. The salary range for this role is up to 18k PLN gross per month

What will you be doing?

• Managing a multi-member team.
• Consistently delivering products in line with established action plans.
• Active involvement in technical tasks, including hands-on coding and software development.
• Ensuring code quality and functionality through the production phase.
• Upholding the quality of processes, projects, and systems agreed upon by the team.
• Defining service features and components under the team's responsibility. 
• Continuously improving both personal and team performance by suggesting and helping implement new processes and engineering best practices.
• Effectively communicating progress, achievements, and areas for improvement to team members and management. 
• Serving as a trusted technical authority in one or more areas, providing guidance and engineering advice to the team.
• Leading discussions on team architecture and design strategies.
  Mentoring less experienced developers.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define the team’s action plans and manage competing priorities. 
• Monitoring team engagement and well-being indicators.
• Proactively identifying and resolving potential performance challenges within the team. 
• Supporting the development and career growth of team members.
• Participating in recruitment processes. 
• Advocating for business and technical decisions made by the company within the team.

What are we looking for?

• As a trusted technical authority, you will become the primary point of contact for all engineering-related matters.
  Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying solutions in AWS with an unwavering focus on quality.
• Comprehensive expertise in designing and delivering low-latency, high-throughput API systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• As a programming polyglot, you excel in delivering software systems while leveraging Agile, Lean, and DevOps methodologies, effectively leading project execution.
• Writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.), pairing, enhancing code quality, and continuous integration are embedded in your professional DNA. 
• Proven experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, framework, or development platform. 
• Experienced in developing CI/CD solutions and cloud infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• You believe that neglecting Continuous Delivery is a missed opportunity to learn and deliver value to clients.
• Passionate about full team ownership, encompassing the entire product lifecycle and its components, including code, infrastructure, and after-hours support.
