About the Team: 

Eze Eclipse™ is a born-in-the-cloud investment solution that supports start-up, emerging equity-, and event-focused hedge funds’ full investment process in a single, unified platform through a secure web browser interface.  

As an Associate Director on the platform services team, you will run the day-to-day operations on the team and play a key role in architecting, designing, and implementing the core infrastructure that powers the Eclipse™ family of products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform, enabling us to deliver exceptional user experiences to our rapidly growing customer base. 

The mission of the platform services team is to provide a suite of reusable software components which enable all Eclipse™ engineering teams to build microservices that meet our requirements for scalability, testability, and observability in a highly automated CI/CD environment. 

Platform services increasingly mean designing for AI agents as well as human engineers — paved-path reference architectures, agent-accessible APIs, and living documentation that stays in sync with the code. As an associate director, you’ll help shape how the team adopts AI-driven software development practices without compromising quality.

Day to Day: 

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of 5-6 platform engineers 

• Lead the design and development of scalable, highly available, and performant platform components, services, and RESTful APIs. 

• Use AI-driven software development practices — agentic coding tools, AI-augmented code review — to accelerate delivery and champion their adoption across the team by contributing reusable skills, agents, and prompts to a shared internal registry. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, create architectural designs, and implement innovative solutions. 

 

• Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and promoting best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement. 

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall Eclipse™ technical roadmap. 

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other system limitations. 

• Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying relevant advancements, and using them to enhance the platform’s capabilities, as appropriate. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. 

• 10+ years of software development experience, with a focus on building and scaling complex, distributed systems. 

• 2+ years having direct reports and managing people’s careers. 

• Experience building B2B enterprise cloud-based SAAS platforms, multi-tenant systems. 

• Experience with AuthZ/AuthN backend implementations and integrations. Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC. 

• Experience with Kubernetes, helm, fleet gitops and service mesh. 

• Experience with a public cloud provider beyond use of IAAS; AWS preferred 

• Hands-on experience and a passion for using AI to accelerate software development. Proficiency in multiple programming languages; C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Go experience preferred. 

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) 

• Proven track record of designing and building highly available, distributed cloud native applications using standard patterns and practices. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges. Production debugging experience with log aggregation and other observability tools.  

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 

 

It would be great if you also:

• Experience in FinTech is a definite plus.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 180000 USD to 195000 USD.
