Position Description

The Associate Director, EQD Operations will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational support of the EQD business, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of key operational processes. The role will drive process enhancements, support new products and system initiatives, and lead the team in managing complex exceptions, reconciliations, and stakeholder relationships.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Support trade flow for EQD department trading desk in Delta One, Prime Services, Equity Finance, Exotic/Flow Trading & Listed Product Trading.
• Communication and team work with the various Front, Middle and Back office teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Working with Clients and external stakeholders such as PB’s in order to ensure daily deliverables are met.
• Oversight / Review existing operations flow from upstream to downstream and guide the team to achieve up-to-date procedures are in place.
• Root cause analysis of issues and suggestions to process improvements.
• Represent EQD Operations team for system enhancement project.
• Participate in New Product Approval process.
• Interaction with other CLSA departments such as Audit, Finance, Product Control and Risk to ensure accurate trade capture.
• To lead the team on problem solving from reconciliations, breaks investigations.
• Guide junior staff on complex workflow or products.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years’ experience in EQD Middle Office / Trade Support role.
• Good understanding of EQD business structure and strategy.
• Good knowledge of derivatives products and lifecycle events. Having knowledge of ISDA/CSA/MCA agreements and definitions is advantageous.
• Products Static / Market Data / Accounting posting knowledge is preferred.
• Good understanding in front-to-back operations flow.
• Strong Problem Solving, Organizational, Communication and Prioritization skills.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office (particular Excel/VBA).
• Good verbal and written English.
