About the Client

A major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending. The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute technical support activities for database users and infrastructure
• Provide database support remotely and on-site as required
• Register, analyze, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve database-related requests
• Provide users with clear technical guidance and issue-resolution updates
• Troubleshoot database incidents and escalate complex or high-impact issues appropriately
• Support database implementations, migrations, and technology-transfer activities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure database reliability
• Monitor database performance, capacity, availability, and overall health
• Identify potential issues and take corrective action before they affect system availability
• Administer and configure database management systems according to established security standards
• Support backup, storage, recovery, and business-continuity processes
• Follow defined service-level agreements for response times, escalation, and downtime notifications
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and operational records
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and support teams
• Contribute to the long-term stability and sustainability of the database environment

What You Bring

• Experience administering databases across production, testing, and development environments
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle
• Experience administering and configuring backup and storage solutions
• Understanding of database security requirements and access controls
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies
• Experience monitoring database performance, capacity, and availability
• Ability to troubleshoot database incidents and support technical migrations
• Ability to prioritize and reclassify database support tasks based on urgency and business impact
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and effective collaboration skills
• Proactive approach and strong sense of ownership
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field

Nice to have

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of Shell, PowerShell, or Unix scripting
• SQL Server or Oracle certifications
• English or Spanish language proficiency
• Experience using AI-powered tools to support technical work, troubleshooting, or productivity

English level

Upper-Intermediate

• Work Type: Hybrid, with on-site attendance twice per week
• Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil 
• Work Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Shift Rotation: 12x36 — 12 hours worked followed by 36 hours off
