As a Data Engineer, you will help build and maintain web-crawling solutions that collect high-quality data from websites. You'll work with modern web technologies, ethical web-scraping practices, and collaborate with teams across Research, Data Science, and Technology.

What You'll Do
- Analyze websites and determine the most effective data extraction approach.
- Build, maintain, and optimize automated web-crawling scripts.
- Troubleshoot and enhance crawler performance to ensure reliable data collection.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality data while following established standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Researchers, Industry Experts, and Technology teams to support project requirements.
For the Data Engineer level, you will also:
- Conduct website feasibility assessments for new projects.
- Provide guidance on web-scraping approaches and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Understanding of website structures, functionality, and web-scraping concepts.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and basic data structures.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and learn new technologies quickly.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across teams.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong accountability and adaptability.
For the Data Engineer level, additional experience with Python, SQL, complex crawling solutions, and independent project delivery is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Interest in Data Engineering, Web Scraping, and Market Research.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Passion for continuous learning and developing expertise in data collection technologies.
The role has a monthly gross salary of EUR 24 000 - EUR 32 000, dependent on experience.
