About the role
A global transformation is happening across our Supply Chain function—one where we are intentionally and thoughtfully reimagining how we partner with the business. As Associate Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics Procurement you will help shape how Baxter works with logistics partners, improving value, service, and resilience across a complex international network.
You will lead sourcing and supplier-management activities across transportation, warehousing and related logistics services, partnering closely with business teams to deliver savings, supplier performance improvements, and operational excellence. Your focus will be EMEA, with support for APAC and global initiatives when needed.
This is an opportunity to take ownership, influence regional decisions, and contribute to a broader Supply Chain transformation that will make everyday operations simpler and more effective.
What you'll be doing
- Shape sourcing strategies for transport and logistics services, leading market reviews, competitive tenders, supplier evaluations, and negotiations so Baxter secures the right combination of cost, quality, capacity, and service.
- Build strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, parcel providers, and warehouse partners, turning performance reviews into practical improvements in reliability, quality, sustainability, and risk management.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, rate cards, renewals, service levels, and commercial terms, creating clear agreements and working practices that protect the business and support consistent delivery.
- Use spend data, cost models, and total-cost analysis to identify savings and productivity opportunities, develop sound business cases, and make value delivery visible through accurate tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate priorities across countries, functions, and business units, aligning stakeholders and suppliers so sourcing projects move forward smoothly and operational needs are supported.
- Monitor market developments and bring forward supplier-led ideas, helping simplify processes, improve workflows, and introduce practical innovation across the logistics network.
- Support wider Supply Chain projects when required, contributing procurement expertise to transport transitions, warehouse needs, business continuity, and other improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, along with solid and relevant experience in procurement, logistics, transportation, or supply chain, ideally with strong exposure to transport services in multi-country environment.
- Hands-on experience managing external suppliers, including sourcing, cost review, negotiation, performance follow-up, savings delivery and contracting, which includes but is not limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
- Strong financial understanding, with confidence analysing costs and translating data into recommendations.
- Exposure to logistics network optimization, warehouse and transportation transitions, or supply chain transformation would be an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills; experience creating dashboards or using Power BI is an advantage. Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot is also welcome.
