Job Description

We are looking for an experienced 5-7 years of experience SuccessFactors Integration Technical Engineer to provide Level 3 (L3) support, operational excellence, and technical leadership for a complex global HR integration landscape. The role is heavily focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of integrations connecting SAP SuccessFactors with enterprise and third-party platforms.

The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite, Business Integration Builder (BIB), and Google Cloud Apigee, serving as the highest level of technical escalation for critical incidents, complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and architectural improvements.

This position requires hands-on technical capability combined with a strong operational mindset, ensuring business-critical HR integrations meet agreed service levels and support a global workforce.

Key Responsibilities

L3 Support & Service Operations (Primary Focus)

• Act as the highest technical escalation point (L3) for complex SuccessFactors integration issues.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical production incidents impacting HR business processes.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Analyze integration logs, monitoring alerts, API transactions, message payloads, and middleware processing errors.
• Coordinate incident resolution across SAP, cloud providers, vendors, and internal support teams.
• Maintain integration service availability and ensure compliance with SLA and KPI commitments.
• Drive reduction of recurring incidents through automation, monitoring enhancements, and platform optimization.
• Support major incident management activities and provide technical leadership during crisis situations.
• Participate in on-call support and critical business event coverage as required.

SAP BTP Integration Support

Collaborate with BTP integration support team to:

• Provide expert support for SAP Integration Suite services, including:
  • Cloud Integration (CPI)
  • API Management
  • Event Mesh
  • Integration Advisor
  • Open Connectors
• Diagnose message processing failures, authentication issues, certificate problems, data transformation errors, and connectivity issues.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity optimization of integration flows.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting frameworks, and operational procedures.
• Manage transport deployments across Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Support integration lifecycle management and platform upgrades.

Business Integration Builder (BIB) Support

• Own operational support of BIB integrations within the SuccessFactors Recruiting ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot vendor connectivity, feed processing, transmission failures, and mapping issues.
• Analyze integration failures involving assessment providers, job boards, background verification vendors, and onboarding platforms.
• Ensure successful processing of recruitment-related transactions and feeds.
• Collaborate with SAP Support and external vendors to resolve complex BIB-related issues.

GCP Apigee Support & API Operations

Collaborate with GCP Apigee team to:

• Support enterprise HR APIs managed through Google Cloud Apigee.
• Monitor API proxy health, traffic patterns, latency, and error rates.
• Troubleshoot:
  • OAuth authentication failures
  • JWT validation issues
  • Policy execution errors
  • Backend connectivity problems
  • API throttling and rate-limiting issues
• Implement API performance improvements and resiliency measures.
• Support API security reviews and governance compliance activities.

Problem Management & Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring incidents and establish long-term remediation plans.
• Develop automation solutions to reduce manual operational activities.
• Improve observability through enhanced logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
• Drive technical debt reduction initiatives across integration platforms.
• Recommend architecture improvements to enhance reliability and maintainability.

Technical Governance & Documentation

• Maintain detailed technical documentation, support runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
• Contribute to platform standards, integration support procedures, and operational best practices.
• Participate in change advisory boards (CABs) and deployment reviews.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise integrations.
• 5+ years supporting SAP SuccessFactors integrated environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Proven expertise supporting Business Integration Builder (BIB) solutions.
• Experience managing APIs using Google Cloud Apigee.
• Demonstrated ownership of production support services in large global environments.
• Experience operating within ITIL-based support organizations.
