Company Overview

Blackstone Europe Fund Management S.à r.l. (“BEFM”) is a private limited liability company (société à responsibilité limitée) notably subject to the Law of 10 August 1915 on commercial companies, as amended from time to time and to the AIFM Law. BEFM is authorized by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (“CSSF”) as (i) a management company under Article 101(2) (Chapter 15) of the Law of 17 December 2010 on undertakings for collective investment, as amended (the UCI Law) and (ii) an alternative investment fund manager in accordance with the Law of 12 July 2013 on alternative investment fund managers, as amended (the AIFM Law).

BEFM manages UCITS and alternative investment funds (“AIFs”) in a variety of asset classes including private equity, real estate, credit and hedge fund. BEFM is also authorized to manage separately managed accounts (“SMAs”) with a combination of these asset classes.

Job Description

A senior member of the Portfolio Management Oversight (“PMO”) team, playing an important role in continuing to build and develop the function to genuine “Best in Class” standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders in the US and EMEA regions. The primary focus will be on overseeing portfolio managers to ensure regulatory expectations are met while maintaining lean and sustainable processes.

This position will report to the Conducting Officer in charge of Portfolio Management Oversight, with a responsibility to provide support in wide-ranging tasks.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management Oversight

• Conduct initial and periodic due diligence reviews of portfolio management delegates (“Delegates”) in accordance with BEFM’s risk-based approach and PMO Procedure ensuring a complete and timely process
• Perform ongoing monitoring of the Delegates in accordance with applicable regulations, internally developed KPIs, and PMO Procedure, and escalate any findings or highlights to senior management
• Prepare reports and present results of PMO activities to relevant committees and boards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Delegates
• Act as a point of contact for PMO matters for US and EMEA stakeholders and other team members
• Liaise with external counsel to obtain legal advice when necessary
• Represent the team in meetings with all Blackstone’s Business Units
• Participate in creating lean and efficient processes while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Ensure that all policies, procedures, and processes encompass latest regulatory requirements

Miscellaneous

• Participate in PMO, BEFM and Group level projects, including technology solutions
• Support the Conducting Officer during internal audits, annual external audits, and ad hoc tasks
• Continuously seek to improve processes and drive innovation
• Coach, train, and supervise junior team members

Qualifications & Skills

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with a sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, such as UCITS Management Company, AIFM, or advisory role
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Highly organized with great attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability, manages work independently and knows when to escalate matters
• Good knowledge of the local/EU regulatory requirements related to UCITS and AIFs, domiciled in Luxembourg and/or Ireland
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential; knowledge of IT languages like VBA and SQL is a plus
• Working knowledge of AI and automation tools is a plus, including (e.g., large language models, workflow automation, or data analysis platforms)  the ability to apply them responsibly to improve analysis, documentation, and process efficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively connect and collaborate with international teams, and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
