As a Platform Architect, you will lead the design and evolution of our enterprise-grade cloud platform, ensuring it meets current and future business needs while maintaining high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, modular solutions that leverage Java, Spring Boot, and distributed systems principles. Your expertise in AWS and VNet architecture will be critical in authoring secure network topologies, implementing service mesh patterns, and optimizing cost‑effective infrastructure. You will also mentor development teams, champion best practices, and drive continuous improvement across the platform lifecycle. Throughout, you will balance technical excellence with pragmatic delivery, ensuring that every component aligns with our strategic objectives and compliance standards.

Requirements

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Design and architect highly available, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot

• Define and enforce distributed system design patterns and best practices across the organization

• Lead the planning, deployment, and management of AWS resources, including VNet, subnets, and security groups

• Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code

• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and performance tuning for mission‑critical services

• Mentor engineering teams on architectural standards, code quality, and cloud-native practices

• Drive cost optimization strategies and capacity planning using AWS cost management tools

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and runbooks

• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose solutions that align with business goals

• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements across the platform

• 14+ years of professional experience in software architecture with a focus on Java and distributed systems

• Deep expertise in designing and scaling Spring Boot applications for cloud environments

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, VNet configuration, and network security best practices

• Strong knowledge of microservices patterns, service mesh, and event‑driven architectures

• Proven ability to translate business objectives into robust technical designs and roadmaps

• Excellent communicator with a track record of leading cross‑functional teams and mentoring engineers

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring tools

• Ability to assess risk, perform architectural trade‑offs, and deliver defensible solutions

• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with the latest cloud and platform technologies.
