As an Appian Developer - Senior Manager you will lead delivery of regulatory risk compliance solutions within our Risk and Compliance practice, focusing on client-facing Appian development work that helps organizations navigate regulatory requirements and strengthen internal controls. As a Senior Manager you will lead large projects, bring sound judgment to complex situations, and guide teams through ambiguity while shaping clear, practical solutions that support client needs and business goals. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will oversee Appian design and delivery, advise on process improvements, communicate progress to stakeholders, and coach others to drive consistent execution across multiple work streams.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with Appian BPM designing and building business process models, creating and using complex data types, designing SAIL forms, and creating business rules and constants
- Hands-on development experience on Appian (24x/25x) BPM applications
- Experience leading and successfully delivering one or more end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design/Develop/Deploy/Package)
- Leading Appian development workstreams for regulatory risk and compliance initiatives across managed services engagements
- Designing and configuring Appian solutions that support compliance workflows, case handling, and reporting needs
- Translating regulatory requirements into scalable process automation and application functionality
- Guiding teams through solution design, build, test, and deployment activities for client-facing platforms
- Collaborating with client stakeholders to gather requirements, validate priorities, and align delivery outcomes with compliance objectives
- Applying systems thinking to identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities for workflow improvement
- Reviewing technical delivery plans, managing dependencies, and resolving issues that affect project momentum
- Coaching team members on Appian development methods, code quality, and delivery discipline
- Integrating compliance, governance, and risk monitoring capabilities into platform designs
- Communicating progress, risks, and solution impacts to senior stakeholders in clear, concise language
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/BE)
- At least 12 - 15 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Expert understanding of Appian Objects including Data Store, Data Type, Record Type, Process -
Model, Process Report, Interface, Report, Site, Portal, Constant, Decision, Expression Rule,
Translation Set, Connected System, Integration, Web API, Group, Group Type. Exposure to AI Skill a
Plus
- Proficiency in SAIL forms design, process design, SQL & stored procedures / SQL databases,
object-oriented programmed, and Service Backed Records. Proficiency in Appian UX guidelines and
Appian plug-ins (including rules engines)
- Certifications Required: Appian Level 3 Certification
