Ziel der Stelle (Kurzbeschreibung des Aufgabengebietes) 

· Führt selbständig alle Arbeiten entsprechend seines Berufsbildes aus 

Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten: 

• Führt selbständig sämtliche Neuinstallations-, Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten an vorhandenen versorgungstechnischen Anlagen und Systemen durch 

• Plant selbständig die Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten und bereitet Materialbestellungen vor 

• Durchführung von Prüfungen, Messungen und Dokumentationen 

• Herstellung elektrischer Anschlüsse 

• Montage von Mess-, Steuerungs-, Regelungs- und Sicherheitseinrichtungen versorgungstechnischer Anlagen und Systemen 

• Montage und Demontage von Rohrleitungen und Kanälen 

• Durchführung von Dämm-, Dichtungs- und Schutzmaßnahmen 

• Unterstützt bei Bedarf andere Gewerke bei deren Arbeitsaufgaben 

• Befolgt betriebliche Verfahrensweisen, sowie DIN, EN, UVV und ISO Normen 

• Führt alle betrieblich notwendigen Arbeitsdokumente 

• Nimmt Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen im Interesse der Firma wahr 

• Arbeitet in den Werkstätten des Betriebes und an anderen Arbeitsorten des Projektes Kaiserslautern 

• Führt auf Weisung seines Vorgesetzten andere Tätigkeiten aus, die betrieblich notwendig sind 

• Kann jederzeit zu Arbeiten im Freien herangezogen werden 

Ist vertraut im Umgang mit den gängigen Werkstoffen, sowie Maschinen, Werkzeugen, Betriebs- und Arbeitsmitteln. Jede/r Arbeitnehmer/in hat neben den in dieser Stellenbeschreibung aufgeführten Tätigkeiten auf Weisung ihres/seines Vorgesetzten andere Tätigkeiten auszuführen, die dem Wesen nach zu ihrem/seinem Arbeitsplatz gehören oder betrieblich notwendig sind.

Arbeitsumgebung, Körperliche Anforderungen und Geistige Anforderungen: 
Während der Ausführung der Tätigkeiten in dieser Position ist der/die Mitarbeiter/in häufig verpflichtet zu gehen; die Hände zum Greifen, Führen oder Tasten zu benutzen; mit den Händen und Armen zu greifen; zu sprechen oder zu hören sowie zu riechen oder zu schmecken. 
Erforderlich sind außerdem das Arbeiten auf Leitern, Gerüsten und Plattformen, Stehen, Bücken und Arbeiten in engen Bereichen; das Heben und Tragen von Werkzeugen und Ausrüstung, die gelegentlich mehr als 40 Pfund (ca. 18 kg) wiegen können. 
Zu den spezifischen Sehanforderungen gehören Nahsicht, Fernsicht, Farbsehen, peripheres Sehen sowie die Fähigkeit, den Fokus anzupassen. 
Während der Ausführung der Tätigkeiten ist der/die Mitarbeiter/in häufig beweglichen mechanischen Teilen ausgesetzt und gelegentlich nassen und/oder feuchten Bedingungen; großen Höhen; Dämpfen oder Partikeln in der Luft; giftigen oder ätzenden Chemikalien; Außenwetterbedingungen; extremer Kälte; extremer Hitze; sowie dem Risiko elektrischer Schläge. Der Geräuschpegel in der Arbeitsumgebung ist in der Regel moderat.

Job Description 

Job Responsibilities: 

Purpose of the Position (Brief Description of Responsibilities) 

Independently performs all work in accordance with his occupational profile 

Required Qualifications: 

• Independently performs all new installation, maintenance and repair work on existing utility systems and equipment 

• Independently plans maintenance and repair work and prepares material orders 

• Performs inspections, measurements and documentation 

• Making electrical connections 

• Installation of measurement, control, regulation and safety devices of utility systems and equipment 

• Installation and dismantling of pipelines and ducts 

• Performs insulation, sealing and protective measures 

• Supports other trades with their tasks as needed 

• Follows company procedures as well as DIN, EN, UVV and ISO standards 

• Maintains all operationally required work documents 

• Participates in further training in the interest of the company 

• Works in the company workshops and at other work locations of Project Kaiserslautern 

• Performs other operationally necessary tasks as directed by his supervisor 

• May be called upon at any time to work outdoors 

Is familiar with the handling of common materials as well as machinery, tools, operating equipment and work equipment. 

In addition to the activities listed in this job description, every employee must perform, as directed by his/her supervisor, other activities that by their nature belong to his/her position or are operationally necessary. 

Other Responsibilities: 

• Completed training as a plant mechanic, gas/water installer, or heating and ventilation installer, or at least six years of work in a comparable field. 

• Must be mentally and physically fit to perform all tasks 

• Possession of a valid Class B driver's license required 

• Sufficient knowledge of English and German required to understand instructions and complete documents. 

• Works independently under general supervision, within established procedures. 

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  Requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms standing, bending, and working in cramped areas; lifting and carrying tools and equipment which occasionally may weigh over 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
