Description

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and ready for flight. Through inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, servicing, and maintenance activities, you will help ensure the continued availability and performance of aircraft used in critical training operations.

Joining CAE's team on the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, you will support the training of the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force personnel. In partnership with SkyAlyne, CAE delivers world-class training solutions that help prepare aircrew for mission success.

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and test aircraft systems

  • Remove and replace line-replaceable units and components

  • Perform specialty maintenance tasks in shop environments as required

  • Interpret technical publications, drawings, and diagrams

  • Maintain tools and equipment required for assigned duties

  • Order aircraft spare parts and materials as needed

  • Conduct flight line servicing operations

  • Provide updates and debriefs to the Team Lead as required

  • Perform workplace inspections and general housekeeping duties

  • Fulfill Desk Controller responsibilities when required

This position is based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Relocation support is available.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Transport Canada M1/M2 certification (or equivalent Canadian Armed Forces training)

  • Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in first-line maintenance

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work shifts and travel occasionally as required

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices

  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance

  • Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit), or ability to obtain eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Equivalent international certifications (FAA A&P, EASA B1/B2, etc.) welcomed

  • Second-line maintenance experience considered an asset

  • Experience in lifecycle support activities
