We’re looking for an AI Adoption Specialist to help turn curiosity into practical change across Fulton Hogan. In this permanent, full-time role, ideally based in Christchurch, you’ll work with teams across the business to spot where AI can genuinely improve the way work gets done, then help embed new ways of working that stick.

This is a great role for someone in change, business improvement, adoption, or a similar business-facing role who likes variety, enjoys working with real people in real environments, and can build credibility with operational teams. One day you might be running a workshop, the next mapping a business process, coaching local champions, or helping a team move from idea to measurable impact. You’ll also be joining our growing AI Practice at an exciting stage, helping shape how we use AI across the business and playing a real part in where we go next.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams to identify where AI can improve processes and day-to-day work.
• Deliver workshops, training and drop-in support using approved AI tools and content.
• Map current processes, redesign better ways of working, and help teams embed change that lasts.
• Build and support local champion networks alongside digital leads to keep momentum going between visits.
• Shape and qualify new AI use cases, track what’s working, and share learnings across the wider business.

• Experience in change, adoption, business improvement, or a similar role where you’ve helped teams work differently, not just use a new tool.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the confidence to work with mixed audiences across the business.
• Practical, hands-on fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in where this space is heading.
• A proactive, curious and adaptable approach, with the ability to build trust quickly and work independently.
• A current driver’s licence and comfort with regular travel across the country.
