Summary
• No matter which level of experience you have as an Agile Coach, it is expected that you work empirically, meaning that you experiment your way forward based on observed and measured phenomena and derive knowledge from actual experience, rather than from theory or belief.
• You have the courage to respectfully challenge or disrupt the status quo when necessary, and to ask the difficult/ necessary questions.
• You nurture Agile practices, principles, and values in Product Teams and the wider organization.
 

Impact
• Increases flow in product teams as well as the wider organization by surfacing and facilitating removal of impediments. This is done by engaging with product teams and the organization and teaching and mentoring them into a cycle of continuous improvement.
• Monitors team effectiveness to assess degree of flow and value creation (product mindset and continuous learning culture). 
 

Knowledge
• Aware of all 4 Agile Coach stances (facilitation, professional coaching, mentoring, teaching) and is practicing how to utilize all 4 of these depending on context and need.
• Has foundational Agile & Lean skills in place and is ready to apply these within teams according to need.
• Has growing awareness that organizations are complex, dynamic systems and is practicing how to unlock most value by applying different approaches, depending on context.
• Aware of all three masteries of an Agile coach (Technical, Business, Transformation), and growing expertise in one of them.

Communication
• Is practicing to surface and facilitate difficult conversations, using different strategies to enable good communication and healthy dialogues.
• Pro-actively seeks mentoring from more experienced Agile coaches about this.
 

Leadership
• Understands and is practicing how to use situational, indirect/ informal, servant leadership behavior with both teams and their leaders.
• Guides teams and their leaders to collaborate.
• Is practicing how to align expectations upfront to maximize impact.
