About the Role

In this position, you'll focus on generating new business, developing customer relationships, and helping individuals, families, and businesses find insurance coverage that meets their needs.

This is a sales-focused opportunity where your success will be driven by consistent prospecting, strong communication, and the ability to turn conversations into new business.

You'll work alongside experienced insurance professionals, receive hands-on coaching, and gain valuable experience that can support future career advancement within the Farmers Insurance network.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business through outbound calls, prospecting, referrals, and community networking.

• Connect with prospective customers, identify their insurance needs, and recommend appropriate coverage options.

• Prepare quotes, explain policy benefits, address objections, and confidently ask for the sale.

• Sell and cross-sell Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial insurance products.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication, policy reviews, and follow-up.

• Manage an organized sales pipeline using CRM tools to track leads, customer interactions, and renewal opportunities.

• Work toward individual and team production goals while continuously improving your sales skills.

• Maintain knowledge of insurance products and follow Farmers Insurance standards and California Department of Insurance regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous insurance, sales, or customer service experience preferred (1–2 years).

• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with prospective customers.

• Comfortable making outbound calls, following up with leads, and asking for the sale.

• A motivated, competitive mindset with a desire to achieve measurable results.

• Strong organizational skills, time management, and consistent follow-through.

• A positive attitude, professional work ethic, and willingness to apply coaching and feedback.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Currently holds or is willing to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license.

• Currently holds or is willing to obtain a Life & Health insurance license.
