Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing & running Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) jobs using Siemens Simcenter Star-CCM+
- Includes participation in overall Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) campaign planning; pre- & post-processing, building Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models directly from CAD and/or using Star's internal geometry capabilities, meshing, checking & interpretation of data, etc.
- Working a variety of problems including high-lift and transonic external aerodynamics, internal aero- and thermo-dynamics, etc.
- Building team expertise by capturing, documenting & sharing lessons-learned
- Collaborating with adjacent groups including Aircraft Performance, Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC), Wind Tunnel Testing, Flight Testing, Mechanical Design, Loads, Stress, subcontractors, etc.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Previous experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Experience preparing, running, and postprocessing CFD using Star-CCM+ specifically
- Experience importing geometry from Dassault Systemes CATIA/3DX into CFD tools
- Enjoys doing CFD & learning new tricks and techniques
- Takes ownership & cares about timeliness and quality of results
- Advanced coursework and/or experience in transonic aerodynamics and/or high-lift aerodynamics
- Advanced coursework and/or experience in aero-thermal analysis
- Advanced coursework and/or experience in internal flows
- Understanding of aircraft external loads, aircraft performance and stability and control.
- Familiarity with wind tunnel and aircraft flight test.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Understanding of system-level static and dynamic modeling snd simulation.
- Exposure to aircraft stability principles and control system design and analysis.
- Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
