Job Description Summary

Within the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Repair Engineer – L5 Component Repair will be responsible for one or more component families (components portfolio) for AAJV Global Shops Network.

In short term, Repair Engineer shall:
• develop technical knowledge in AAJV products and services through technical training and Consulting Repair Engineers / Repair Engineer Leader mentorship
• learn on the job, supporting other experienced Repair Engineers in their ongoing activities

In medium/long term and related to his/her components portfolio, Repair Engineer shall:
• maintain repair technical expertise and serve as the subject matter expert
• collaboratively work with other AAJV functions to insource new component repairs into AAJV L5 Global Shop Network
• partner with other AAJV functions to qualify new component repair Vendors / new component repairs into an existing repair Vendors
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of repair processes (insourced in AAJV Global Shop Network or by qualified L5 repair Vendors)

The Repair Engineer will solid line report to the Repair Engineering Leader.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

For all his/her components portfolio, Repair Engineer will be responsible for:

• Introduction of new component repair processes in AAJV Global Shops Network
• technical support of component repair qualifications of repair Vendors
• Development of standard repair routers and block diagrams, inspection forms, qualification requirements for new and already existing L5 repairs, including documents update and QMS / PLM maintenance
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineers defining work instructions and fixtures / tooling needed for repair processes
• Support roll-out and industrialization of new L5 repair technologies and related equipment at AAJV Global Shops / repair Vendor shops, coordinating with Process Engineers, PMO and Shop Operations
• As part of AAJV Central Engineering team, he/she will be the technical owner of the component repair in production, including technical evaluation of inspection results, definition of the repair scope of work, job routers tailoring, Departure Record emission and related job routers modifications
• Working with Shop Operations and Process Engineers to define repair processes CTQs, business intelligence and operating rhythm for CTQs analysis and recovery plan if needed
• Identify data-driven opportunities for repair productivity / cost reduction and propose alternative processes development to AAJV Repair Product Leadership
• Support shop NCR process

 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Willing to bubble assignment in Avenza/Firenze/Port Klang (for training on the job purpose).
• Willing to relocate close to Mesagne Site (if not already living there)
• Previous knowledge/experience of Aero-derivative gas turbine products, especially on LM2500 and LM6000, would be a plus
• Strong attitude to work with local and remote teams, interact with people from different locations and cultures
• Ability to work in a very dynamic and mutating environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Be a solution-oriented problem solver
• Fluency in English and Italian in writing and speaking
• Full availability to travel world-wide with short notice for business purposes

Fascia retributive: Tra € 31,800.00 e € 47,700.00 lordi annui. La retribuzione specifica offerta terrà conto dell'istruzione, delle qualifiche, dell'esperienza e delle competenze del candidato.

A Collective Bargaining Agreement (‘CBA’ - Metalworking) is applicable in relation to position. The available benefits based on the currently effective CBA and company policies include the following:

Base salary: The remuneration is established according to the Metalworking CBA salary scale, which defines job groups and minimum salary levels.
