Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-transplant evaluations, including history, physical examination, and risk stratification.
• Review and interpret diagnostic testing (laboratory studies, imaging, cardiac and malignancy screening).
• Identify and manage modifiable medical risk factors in collaboration with referring providers.
• Prepare and present cases at multidisciplinary transplant selection meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) and United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) requirements.
• Facilitate timely listing, waitlist maintenance, and documentation accuracy.
• Provide patient and family education regarding transplant processes, risks, benefits, and immunosuppressive therapy expectations.
• Coordinate recipient readiness for deceased and living donor transplantation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory audits.
• Contribute to academic activities including education of trainees and protocol development as appropriate.
  

Qualifications, Education, Licensure, and Certification Required: 

• Graduate of accredited NP or PA program.
• Current state licensure and national board certification.
• Experience in transplant, nephrology, or surgical specialty preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of transplant regulatory standards.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
