SUMMARY:

Provides administrative support to the Department of Surgery and departmental quality program initiatives. Coordinates meetings, schedules, data collection, quality reporting, M&M Conferences, and departmental activities. Maintains accurate records and databases, supports quality improvement initiatives, and assists physicians, staff, and leadership as needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate quality improvement activities, data collection, databases, and reports.
• Coordinate departmental quality meetings, including agendas and minutes.
• Coordinate M&M Conferences and other departmental programs.
• Serve as a liaison with hospital quality and external program contacts.
• Support research-related activities and training for residents and medical students.
• Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
• Responsible for any other duties including covering other administrative staff, as may be
• assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required; healthcare-related degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Minimum of 3 years of medical and/or administrative office experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
